DESIGN THINKING WORKSHOPS

Fresh Innovation: Reinvent the lemonade stand!
Use gdcTHiNK to create a fresh and innovative entrepreneurial idea.

When life throws you a lemon, make lemonade: Identify the lemons that life throws at you every day and create lemonade. Use the design thinking process to create a fresh and innovative entrepreneurial idea (an invention, intervention, product or service) that people will pay for because it solves a problem and satisfies a need that they have.

The purpose of the workshop is to introduce participants to user-centred design thinking as a method for solving problems creatively and for driving innovation and entrepreneurship. It is a practical workshop based on a learning-by-doing approach. The workshop follows the format of a high-energy design sprint, where participants work in teams to complete a design challenge in four hours. In doing so, the participants are exposed to different aspects of design thinking and are guided through the phases of the design process in a practical, fun and hands-on workshop.
