Adaptations

Both Melanie Cameron and Jacqueline Middleton graduated from GDC with degrees in Graphic Design in 2004. As friends that share the same passion and vision for design, in 2009 they joined forces and established a dynamic design and décor company...

, Adaptations, that encourages sustainable design while having fun. Adaptations is driven by a desire to rethink and reshape environments with décor that is conceptually driven and using graphic design concepts and principles.

All designs are unique and interchangeable and embody a social responsibility aspect. For Adaptations the design process is all about problem solving: if something is able to adapt to work for its environment the process leads to another idea which in turn results in another product. Jacqueline and Melanie are currently working on a variety of new projects across various design disciplines. Works in progress include their unique paper chandelier working with low voltage lighting, garden lattice and perspex adaptations, jewellery and fashion items and their adapt a box project which takes packaging to new heights by introducing a modular cardboard system that can transform rooms, exhibition spaces and walls into adaptable spaces.
